갓 태어난 제주왕개미 일개미 (Camponotus vitiosus Ito, 1912)
제주왕개미의 일개미는 태어날 때 맑고 투명한 빛을 띠며 세상에 등장합니다. 아직은 연약해 보이지만, 시간이 지나면서 몸빛은 차츰 짙어지고 움직임도 활발해집니다. 동료 개미에게서 첫 먹이를 나누어 받으며, 이제는 군체의 일꾼으로서 작은 역할을 시작합니다.
When a Jeju queen ant’s worker is born, it appears with a clear and fragile glow. At first it seems delicate, but soon its color deepens and its movements become more active. By sharing its first food from fellow ants, it takes its first step as a worker of the colony.
